If we decide to move forward, we will schedule an initial intake session. Before your intake session, I will send consent forms via a secure client portal, along with an intake form to gather important information. This helps structure the session and allows us to get started efficiently. During the intake session, I will better understand your concerns, and we will collaboratively discuss goals and next steps.

The structure of the intake depends on the client’s age:

• For children ages 12 and under, the intake session is parent-only (can be in-person or virtual)

• For adolescents and adults, the intake is typically held with the client present

After the intake, we will discuss a plan for ongoing services, including therapy goals and recommendations.

Once the intake is complete, we will move forward with therapy based on the plan we’ve discussed. Intake sessions are charged at the same rate as therapy sessions.
